What makes Pan Pacific College different from other schools?
There are many English schools in Vancouver, making it difficult for students to choose the best one for them. What makes Pan Pacific College special is its established programs and reputation. Pan Pacific College is one of the oldest English Language Institutes in Vancouver (founded in 1988). We have built and maintained our reputation by being firmly committed to the success of our students and setting a high standard for ESL instruction.
Relationships with Teachers/Staff: the most important key to success is the relationships we develop in our life. We believe that a respectful, trusting, and committed relationship between students and teachers is one key to achieving success. Our staff recognizes that every student is unique, with different abilities, skills, and interests. We take a personalized approach to each student in all areas, from class/program placement to homestay. Real Communication: our programs are based on real North American English. We emphasize the same English that you will see on TV programs, in movies, in business, and in life. TOEFL/TOEIC: Pan Pacific College is famous for its TOEFL and TOEIC programs. Our students consistently score well above the Canadian averages.

Can I change my class if it's too easy, difficult, etc.
Pan Pacific College recognizes that each student is unique. We take pride in small things, such as greeting students by name, giving birthday cards on students' birthdays, and understanding each student's strengths and weaknesses. When a student requests a class change, we first find out the reason. The request is then considered by the Head Teacher together with the teaching staff. While not all requests can be accepted immediately, all requests will be considered and discussed personally with the student. Our goal is to meet each individual student's needs, and we will do whatever it takes to meet this goal.

How is my level determined? How can I move up?
Before you attend class, you need to take a placement test consisting of both a written and an oral section. How fast you move up is determined by your participation in class, completion of homework, how much you improved, and test results (every other week). All requests by students will also be considered. There is no guarantee that you will move up each month, but if you work hard, you will move up faster.
