PPC’s Platinum Program includes 29 hours of weekly instruction on the necessary components of ESL acquisition. All language skills are developed throughout the day with specialized Pronunciation and Grammar Clinics in the afternoon to help students with the specific problem areas they have. This program is followed by our Conversation Club.

PPC’s ESL program has been divided into six comprehensive levels to facilitate development in all language skill areas and at all competency levels. Throughout our ESL Program error correction and personalized feedback are emphasized to ensure each student progresses efficiently. Each class is led by a different teacher, allowing students to experience a variety of different approaches.

Building strong foundations in our lower levels is vital to ensure that students develop balanced English abilities. Throughout our ESL Program all language skills are developed using a communicative approach. Our textbooks are carefully selected to help a broad range of students.

In Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels, students continue to expand these core abilities with more challenging assignments such as presentations, essays and comprehensive listening activities built around daily news and popular TV programs. Again speaking, writing, reading and listening strategies allow learners to build on the foundations established at the earlier levels.

To facilitate measurable student progress, comprehensive testing is done twice a month and detailed feedback is consistently provided so learning benchmarks can be attained. Following our scheduled testing, each student’s results and progress will be evaluated. Those who excel may be eligible to move up to the next level in our program.
