Established in 1988, Pan Pacific College is one of the oldest and most respected language schools in Vancouver. It is recognized by Immigration Canada, and can issue an Official Letter of Acceptance, required for all Student Authorizations (Student Visa). We are fully bonded and registered with the Languages Canada.
Our college has a strong focus on skill development. Students from the Elementary to Intermediate levels are enrolled in Cambridge’s KET (Key English Test) and PET (Preliminary English Test) programs. These learners are exposed from the beginning to lessons which emphasize Cambridge skill targets: speaking, listening and writing. Great emphasis is placed at this level on building vocabulary and grammar knowledge. Comprehensive testing is done twice a month and detailed feedback is consistently provided so students can measure their progress.
Upper Intermediate and Advanced level students continue to expand their core language abilities with more challenging assignments like presentations, essays and comprehensive listening intensives built around the daily news and popular TV programs.
As well afternoon Grammar and Pronunciation Clinics for all levels focus on providing effective solutions to specific problems.
Finally, Conversation Club, with a focus on error correction, gives students the chance to speak in a small group with many opportunities to talk and receive feedback from a trained professional.
Fully aware that studying in a foreign country can be extremely challenging and sometimes confusing, we pride ourselves on fostering a family atmosphere in our college. Along with our excellent teaching staff, Pan Pacific College also has student counseling for Japanese, Korean and Latin students. Our students know that they can turn to their teachers and administration for any concerns that they may have
